Amanda Hill named general manager of The Adirondack Railway Preservation Society (ARPS), operator of the Adirondack Railroad and Adirondack Railbike Adventures.
Utica, NY –The Adirondack Railway Preservation Society (ARPS), the esteemed operator of the Adirondack Railroad and Adirondack Railbike Adventures, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Amanda Hill as its new General Manager, effective January 1, 2025.
Following an extensive and competitive search process, Amanda Hill rose to the top among more than 60 candidates. Her deep understanding of ARPS and its operations, coupled with her proven leadership skills, made her the unanimous choice for this pivotal role by both the Personnel Committee and the ARPS Board of Directors.
Amanda brings a wealth of experience to the table, having already demonstrated her capability to manage the diverse functions within ARPS. Known for her dedication and energy, Amanda has successfully navigated the challenges of regulatory compliance, customer service excellence, and resource management. Her strategic vision and ability to execute have been key in enhancing ARPS’s presence, especially through effective marketing campaigns aimed at reaching new audiences.
