Adirondack Railroad Offers Special Train Service to Remsen Barn Festival of the Arts
UTICA, N.Y. — Special round-trip train service from Utica gives festivalgoers a fun, convenient way to experience one of Central New York’s favorite fall traditions.
Adirondack Railroad is making it easier—and more memorable—to experience the Remsen Barn Festival of the Arts with special round-trip train service from Utica on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27, 2026.
Passengers can board at Utica’s Union Station at 9:30 a.m. for a scenic ride to Remsen, arriving at approximately 10:45 a.m. The Remsen Depot is just a short walk from the festival activities along Main Street.
Festivalgoers will have the day to explore the arts and crafts, food vendors, entertainment and festivities before boarding the train for the return trip. The train departs Remsen at 4:30 p.m. and arrives back in Utica at approximately 5:45 p.m.
“We’re excited to offer this unique train experience and give our passengers a new way to enjoy one of our region’s favorite fall traditions,” said Amanda Hill, General Manager of Adirondack Railroad. “Instead of worrying about driving and parking, guests can relax, enjoy the ride, and make the journey to the Remsen Barn Festival part of the experience. It’s a great way to connect two longtime local traditions and create a memorable fall day for families and visitors alike.”
The special excursion offers visitors the opportunity to make the journey part of their fall experience while avoiding the drive and parking associated with a busy festival weekend. Round-trip fares start at $22 for adults and $15 for children.

Departure: Utica Union Station at 9:30 a.m.
Arrival in Remsen: 10:45 a.m.
Return Departure: Remsen at 4:30 p.m.
Return to Utica: 5:45 p.m.
