Adirondack Railbike Adventures Launches Haunted Railbike Experience in Partnership with Local School
Utica, NY – Adirondack Railbike Adventures has announced a special Halloween-themed partnership with Adirondack Central School, launching haunted railbike rides on select October weekends. The spine-tingling fundraising event will take place on October 17th, 18th, 24th, and 25th, with proceeds benefiting the school’s classes of 2026 and 2028.
The haunted railbike experience offers guests a unique twist on the company’s signature nature railbike rides, combining outdoor adventure with Halloween thrills. Participants will embark on a one-hour ride departing from Thendara Station, pedaling through sections of track closed to other traffic. While encountering seasonal surprises along the route, guests may find themselves pedaling back to the station toward safety.
The railbikes themselves are four-seat, pedal-powered vehicles specifically designed to explore restricted sections of railway track at a leisurely pace. This allows guests to fully appreciate the natural beauty of the Adirondacks while participating in the Halloween-themed adventure. The company encourages participants to dress in costume for the season and to prepare for outdoor weather conditions.
